So we took a hayride from the red barn to the pumpkin patch. There was a maze, the pumpkin patch, a slide, and lots of places to take pictures. Brody loved it! He even led us through the maze by himself! That was really fun to watch.
The only sad part is that it was sooooo windy! And all of the picture taking backdrops were facing right into the sun. We still got some good ones though! Here comes the overload of pictures....
After the pumpkin patch we went fishing ...
Jordan caught a few of these fish with no fins (well, barely any). Another guy fishing told us about them. I think he called them Brood fish. He said that they are kept in a cement tank before they are planted and when they swim up against the walls it slowly wears their fins down.
All of the fish in this reservoir are planted here from hatcheries. So, a lot of the fish were like this.
Sad, huh?!
We just watched Jordan and played with rocks and sticks and threw stuff in the water.
Brody was not scared of the fish at ALL! He loved touching it. He just couldn't figure out why it kept slipping out of his hand. He didn't hesitate for one second before he grabbed it....you would think he would be a little more cautious of grabbing things after that snake bit him this last summer. I'd say he's a pretty brave boy.
We made so many great memories and I think started some new traditions!
